Third edition of WMS Handbook includes updated and expanded vendor directory
(Boonton, NJ, September 13, 2006) The updated and expanded third edition of "The WMS Handbook" includes a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) Vendor Directory, with the latest information on the WMS software available. The Handbook guides readers through the process of planning, selecting, implementing and integrating a WMS.
One of the surprises of this edition, says editor Troy Reynolds, is that our research staff expanded the vendor directory to include 107 systems, more than 30 of which are new to this edition.
The vendor directory provides information on system capabilities and functionality, technical specifications, as well as full contact information and price.
In addition, Reynolds notes that to enhance the value of the Handbook, we have included sample documents to use at every stage in the implementation process.
These include vendor evaluation tables, a checklist for interviewing references, an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) partner agreement, and a disaster recovery plan outline.
The WMS Handbook is published by the Distribution Group, which provides highly focused publications to help warehouse and distribution center managers improve the performance of their operations.
